2025 Year Summary
KGHM ZANAM in 2025 A year of dynamic growth and preparation for a jubilee breakthrough
If a brief description of 2025 at KGHM ZANAM were to be written, it would read: pace, decisions, and tangible results. This was a period when strategy ceased to be merely a plan on paper and began translating into concrete actions, contracts, new markets, technological implementations, and a visible strengthening of the Company’s international position. It was a year of intensive work, but also one that set the course for the coming years and prepared the firm for its jubilee in 2026.

It was in 2025 that many parallel initiatives (ranging from foreign expansion and electromobility to the development of technical competencies) began to coalesce into a coherent whole. The result? Stable foundations for further growth and a clear signal that KGHM ZANAM does not merely react to industry changes, but actively helps to shape them.
Foreign expansion and new directions of development
One of the most significant highlights of 2025 was the consistent expansion of the Company’s presence in foreign markets. The signing of an agreement with British Gypsum and the commencement of deliveries of various machinery types to the British market (with the first deployed LKP-0903 loader operating in a gypsum mine) marked a symbolic step in increasing KGHM ZANAM’s footprint in Western Europe.
Simultaneously, the Canadian market developed dynamically. Working visits to the Victoria mine, commercial negotiations regarding potential machinery deliveries, and a return visit by Canadian partners to Poland established a solid foundation for future contracts. Northern Europe also featured prominently on the map of strategic operations. Ongoing meetings with Arctic Minerals focused on opportunities for the joint implementation of mining projects in the Scandinavian region.
Electromobility and a new generation of technical solutions
In 2025, KGHM ZANAM clearly established its position in the field of electromobility. The Company signed an agreement for the delivery and operational trials of six ZANPER electric vehicles for KGHM mines, strengthening its presence in the segment of modern, zero-emission solutions for underground mining.

A significant milestone was also the launch of the HT24e electric load haul dump loader prototype and the completion of powertrain tests. The results confirmed the technology’s readiness for further stages of development and industrial implementation. Simultaneously, KGHM ZANAM carried out preparatory work for research and development projects planned under the Ścieżka SMART programme, including the development of side-dump loaders and the LD14e electric loader, which represent a response to growing market demands regarding efficiency and emission reduction.
Operational stability and the scale of implemented projects
This dynamic development was also underpinned by day-to-day operational work. In 2025, KGHM ZANAM maintained a high pace of order fulfilment and deliveries. The Company sold and delivered all contracted mining machinery, confirming its capacity to execute large-scale projects with a high degree of technological complexity. This resulted in a record-breaking (for the Company) 29% increase in the production of self-propelled mining machines in 2025.

The achieved results were the product of systematic optimisation activities, production process improvements, and increasing organisational efficiency. It was these elements that allowed technological development to be combined with operational stability.
Quality, safety, and confirmed credibility
The year 2025 also brought further confirmation of high management standards. An external audit by the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification (PCBC S.A.) concluded with a positive assessment of the Integrated Management System, covering ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
A further distinction was the “Vice-Champion of Technology” title awarded by the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations (NOT) for the design and implementation of an electric transport truck. This award highlighted not only the technical competencies of the teams, but also the tangible impact of the ongoing projects on the development of modern mining.
Strong international presence for KGHM ZANAM
Alongside projects and contracts, trade fair and conference activity was a vital element in building the brand’s position. Throughout 2025, KGHM ZANAM was present at the most significant industry events, including Bauma 2025, Mining Week in Kazakhstan, the UK Mining Conference, the IMCET International Mining Congress in Antalya, and the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce.

Participation in these events enabled not only the presentation of the product range, but, above all, the building of business relationships and the strengthening of brand recognition in foreign markets.
Technological partnerships and competency development
The year 2025 was also a period of intensive cooperation with industrial partners. A reference visit to the STEULER plant in Mogendorf was an important stage in the V10 evaporator project. A meeting with DEUTZ AG opened new opportunities for technological collaboration, while discussions with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. allowed for the ongoing coordination of key projects implemented within the Capital Group.
Sixty years of experience as a foundation for the future
As KGHM ZANAM enters its jubilee year of 2026, it draws on its roots. The Company’s history began in 1966 with the establishment of Legmet and Zanam, plants that for decades built the technical foundation for the Polish copper mining industry.
It is precisely this sixty years of engineering experience, the development of team competencies, and consistent investment in technology that have made KGHM ZANAM a modern manufacturer of machinery and industrial solutions with an international reach.
2026: A jubilee year of new ambitions and records
The year 2026 promises to be the next stage of intensive development. The 60th anniversary jubilee will not only be an opportunity for reflection, but above all an impetus for further action. The Company plans to continue its expansion into the UK, Canadian, and Turkish markets, as well as to increase its presence in regions with high growth potential, such as Africa and India.
Plans include both the further sales growth of already implemented products, such as the Robust and the LD17 loader (which meets Stage V standards, the European emission standard for internal combustion engines), and preparations for the deployment of subsequent vehicles, specifically the ZANPER and HT24e. These are intended to strengthen the Company’s offering in the field of modern, energy-efficient, and low-emission solutions for underground mining.
Following an intensive 2025, KGHM ZANAM enters its jubilee period with a clearly defined strategy, strong technological backing, and a team ready for further challenges. This is the moment where experience meets ambition, and history becomes the starting point for the next chapters of the Company’s development.

Record scale of implementation: production, modernisation, and investments
The year 2025 brought a clear strengthening of the Company’s production potential and implementation competencies. The Structure and Casting Production Department delivered over 4,300 components for self-propelled mining machines, and the total length of completed conveyor routes reached almost 10,000 metres, confirming the scale of ongoing projects and the Company’s high production capacity. Simultaneously, in the area of structure production and at the foundry branch, a broad programme of infrastructure modernisation and machinery fleet expansion was implemented; this resulted in increased process efficiency, improved occupational safety, and higher product quality and repeatability. These activities were complemented by investments in technical and environmental infrastructure, including the modernisation of internal transport systems and production workstations, as well as the development of solutions supporting waste segregation and storage, which strengthened the Company’s environmental responsibility standards.

The activity of the Investment Implementation Department was also a prominent feature of this period. The largest undertaking remained a contract worth over PLN 200 million related to the expansion and strengthening of the “Żelazny Most” Tailings Storage Facility, carried out by KGHM ZANAM S.A. as the General Contractor and conducted according to schedule. The Company also participated in the implementation of a key technological investment on the main production line of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., supporting the modernisation of process infrastructure and improving the efficiency of metallurgical plants.

Throughout 2025, the Maintenance and Smelter Repairs area carried out a wide range of work in key areas of technological infrastructure at the Głogów Copper Smelter.
During the technological shutdown of the Lead Department, KGHM ZANAM teams performed work including:
– the reconstruction of ventilation systems,
