59 years of KGHM ZANAM — together we create the future
This year we are celebrating the 59th anniversary of the establishment of KGHM ZANAM. It is a perfect moment to pause for a moment, recall the beginnings and look with pride at the path we have travelled together.
Our history began on October 1, 1966, when the decision was made to establish a plant in Legnica that was to provide technical support for the developing Copper Basin. Construction began in 1964 at ul. Złotoryjska. In the early years, belt conveyors, shaft cages, skips, and other transport equipment were developed, and in 1968 a steel and cast iron foundry was launched—the only one of its kind in Lower Silesia.
– Our company is first and foremost about people. Their knowledge, experience and dedication are the foundation on which we have been building our position for nearly six decades,” emphasises Marcin Skórski, President of the Management Board of KGHM ZANAM S.A.
A lot has changed since then, but one thing has remained the same: the success of our company has always been driven by people. It is thanks to the work, commitment and passion of successive generations of employees that KGHM ZANAM continues to grow.
Today, we have nearly six decades of experience and achievements behind us. Next year, we will celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary — and this commits us to further development, implementing new technologies, and building the future together with our employees and partners.
– Each year of operation is further proof that we are able to combine tradition with modernity. 59 years of history also means a commitment to further development and the introduction of innovative solutions that will allow us to operate successfully on international markets, adds Mariusz Zybaczyński, Vice President of the Management Board for Technical Affairs.
